BANGLADESH

Laurie Menger (France) visited projects benefitting from micro credit in Bangladesh. Micro credit loans are small loans, rarely more than 10 euros, and usually offered only to women (loans given to men usually end up in the pub). The interest rate is around 15% and the day of repayment is the source of great pride, and a little party, to those who have started successful businesses and cooperatives through the loans.
